Brief/Full menu items Manual page 75
There are two ways to view files in a directory: Brief or
Full. Brief shows three columns of files, while Full shows
one column of files, along with the size, date, and time of
the file.
Brief Panel:
+-------------- C:\PATH ---------------+
| Name | Name | Name |
|name1 ext|name2 ext|name3 #ext|
Full Panel:
+-------------- C:\PATH ---------------+
| Name | Size | Date | Time |
|name1 ext| 1034| 8-23-89| 6:44p|
To find a file:
Hold down Alt key and type the first letter of the
file you want to find. A speed-search dialog box
appears at the bottom of the file panel:
+----------------------+
| Search: a_ |
+----------------------+
At this point you can type more letters of the name
(you don't have to hold down Alt), press Esc to remove
this dialog, or press Control + Enter to search for
the next file that matches what you've typed so far.
Notes:
. Hidden files are shown with # between the name and the
extension.
. The date and time format used is determined by the
"country=" statement in the config.sys file. For
example, if you set "country=41" (Switzerland), the
date and time will be shown as:
8.23.89 and 18:44
